Restoring Dick’s Castle: Summer 2022

In the summer of 2022, our team took on a significant project at Dick’s Castle, a historic landmark built in the early 1900s, overlooking the Hudson River in Cold Spring. Originally designed to resemble a Rhineland castle, it had seen better days and was in need of a complete interior renovation.

We began by installing custom beams, followed by meticulous drywall work, including sheetrocking, taping, and prime coating. The custom ceilings required special attention to match the castle’s intricate architectural details, blending modern techniques with the building’s historic charm.

By the end of the summer, we had breathed new life into Dick’s Castle, ensuring its legacy would continue for generations.
